Tap on the AirPlay option and activate it. You can do this by gently sliding your finger on your screen in an upward motion. The most important part of mirroring is connecting to AirPlay. If you are in an area with different Wi-Fi connections, make sure that you use only one of them. Since AirPlay and mirroring work with the help of an active internet connection, it’s advisable to make sure that you use the same Wi-Fi connection. You can alternatively use iTunes to update your iPad. If there’s a current update, it will be downloaded. Under the general option, select "Software" update. To check whether you have the latest update, go to "Settings" and select "General".

If you are running on an old iPad update, this may be the culprit as to why you can’t connect to AirPlay on your iPad. If your iPad can't connect to airplay, the following is a diagnostic method on how to rectify this problem. I end up with a recurring task from 16/06/12 to the 23/07/12 that contain meetings that start on 14/15/12 to 23/06/12 for example or anything that was created when I selected the bogus dates.Part 1: How to Fix AirPlay Won't Connect to iPad What does happen is that while the start an end date of the recurring task do follow those of task B as I want, the individual tasks do not change. It also said the the number of meetings would be automatically adjusted to reach the selected end date. What I read on the internet was that all the meetings would be moved to follow the recurring task start date (A). I copied the start date of B and special pasted it as a link to the start date of A. What I did was select a bogus date and a bogus end date for task A. This is a problem for me as I want a meeting that happen every monday after the start of an other task (B) and end at the same time as this task. If I create a recurring task (A) in microsoft project 2010, I need to select a start date and an end date.
